ACT Fuel System Summary Q&A Information

“What can ACT offer national energy/oil companies with regard to making their existing infrastructure more efficient as well as more eco-friendly?”

With the global energy and power markets moving toward solutions that are “eco-footprint” conscious, there is a global, movement taking place currently, towards hydrogen-based fuel/power systems. ACT’s technology represents a breakaway from the traditional centralized models of fuel production and distribution and into a de-centralized model. Our technology can deliver gas, which can be converted to fuel for power, or used for industrial processes outside of power production. This gas is delivered ON-SITE, and ON-DEMAND, effectively eliminating the requirement for storage or transport. This represents significant savings in both energy consumption and ecological impact.

“What would the cost of these services / products be?”

This answer has a very open-ended reply. The fixed cost of the physical equipment, integration design and engineering into existing power systems onsite, all play a role in determining this cost.

“What timeline would implementation take?”

The case is the same for this question as the above question. Like the system cost question above, this timeline can be determined upon ACT’s design and engineering group carrying out the due-diligence and subsequent custom system requirements.

“What can ACT currently offer hydrogen consumers?”

ACT is currently offering the opportunity to engage with us as we go into large scale manufacturing of our fuel cell, after a preliminary screening and general scope of project analysis by our Engineers to determine the number of ACT fuel cells which will be required for the given application. Through an Early Registration, ACT Fuel Cell Licensing Fee payment, and Priority Scheduling Process Companies/Concerns have an opportunity to get into the ACT Technology Deployment Schedule.

“What power usage is used to produce what energy output (or alternatively hydrogen output), and at what levels of efficiency?”

Refer to the Summary of NAER’s Independent Third-Party Run-test of the Advanced Combustion Technologies’ Hydrogen Fuel Cell.

“How is efficiency affected by cost of operation and vice versa?”

Small space footprint, onsite production of Hydrogen and Oxygen for use in Industry, Transportation and Manufacturing. Because the requirement for extensive storage and transport is virtually NIL, efficiencies are increased significantly, and cost of operation are dramatically reduced relative to other Hydrogen Production solutions currently in the Space.

Three-Phase Power and Secondary Power Provision at a production cost of under $1.00.

“What are the benefits of running ACT systems in addition to reduced costs due to no transportation and increased efficiency?”

The ACT Hydrogen Fuel represents the Industry’s most efficient, safe, and cost-effective solution for Hydrogen production, with an “ECO-Impact” (Emissions) Neutral Footprint.

Oxygen production or potable water by-products?

Oxygen production or potable water are potential by-products, and in the case of using salinated brackish or ocean water as the source for water, pharmaceutical grade salt is also a potential by-product.

“What terms can you offer a company or entity that wants to buy hydrogen directly from you?”

ACT is not in the business of generating, storing, or transporting Gas.

“What are ACT’s preferred terms of engagement with such clients?”

ACT’s business model utilizes a Joint-Venture Styled Partnership approach to provide hydrogen.

Business Relationship/Structure:

JV, Power Purchase Agreement and/or Gas Purchase Agreement.

Fuel Cells and Equipment remain the property of ACT Hydrogen, which provides all maintenance, servicing, and operation under contracts with a 10-year term.

“What terms can you offer to clients who want some sort of revenue sharing or efficiency benefit scheme?”

These terms are determined on a case by case basis, as Logistics, engineering requirements, including system design, are predicated upon pre-existing conditions at any given Facility.

“How much does it cost to install and run ACT units providing 50kg of hydrogen / day at 4/9 -6/9 purity?”

These costs are not fixed for every facility/install, and as mentioned before, are contingent upon the circumstances and resources which define respective installs, and the custom engineering requirements that are implemented at each facility.

“What inputs are required to run the machines?”

Generally speaking, the operation of the ACT Fuel Cells require a water source, input power source, a modest amount of space to inhabit, and the equipment to manage the conversion of the gas to power, or offload the gas production after purification for applications that require the gas for their individual industrial usage requirements.

“What are the running costs associated with running a machine from shipping to operation?”

This is not a fixed cost, and is assessed in the course of Systems and Engineering and Design for each Project/Power Plant.

“What specific projects can ACT propose to be implemented that are beneficial to national oil and energy companies?”

At first blush, the conversion of the existing power plants which drive these Companies to utilize Hydrogen Gas Production as a fuel source, through a fuel transitioning and subsequent cost reduction. Further, the integration of this technology into the Industrial Production Systems of these Companies will go a long way toward making the move away from ECO-Impact heavy Footprints. This can translate to “Carbon-Neutral Credits” and Offsets, and adding to the bottom line.

“How can ACT scale installation for larger entities and industrial cities?”

The Technology drives the ACT Fuel Cell System is designed to be modular, and therefore scalable, in a very time-conservative and relatively inexpensive way.

“How much testing and proof of concept data has been done/gathered?”

ACT has been in existence since 2008, and has garnered four Patents in “Granted” Status, and a fifth Patent in “Provisional” status. The Company has completed five rounds of Independent, Third-Party Evaluation, Efficiency, and Run Tests.

Refer to the  Summary report of the Latest Independent, 3rd Party Run Tests, which was carried out in April of 2023, for data on the maturity of the development.

“What partnerships are currently public knowledge or finalized?”

The Company is currently in talks with several Concerns in multiple Industries with the goal of developing for them power and gas supply solutions, however the information is not Public at this time.

“What are other applications of ACT products/ services?”

The Company’s Chief Science Officer is currently involved with applications of this innovative and novel technology in the areas of strategic materials production including Graphene and Titanium Dioxide.
